Day 1: Madrid - Cairo - (Dinner Included)
Arrive at the airport 2 hours before the flight departure time, to board to Cairo, after arrival at Cairo airport where our representative will meet you and help you with issuing the visa, and then we head to a local restaurant to have Dinner and transfer to the hotel. - Overnight in Cairo.
Day 2: Cairo - (Full Board)
After breakfast, and at the indicated time, departure for the panoramic visit of the Three Pyramids of Giza Cheops, Khafre and Menkaure, the Sphinx with a human head attributed to King Khafre and the body of a lion and the Temple of Khafre, which are considered the most important architectural complex the only wonder that still exists out of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. We will have lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon we will head to Memphis, which was the capital of the Old Kingdom and Lower Egypt, located a step away from Cairo (about 20 km.). In Memphis, we can admire the colossal statue of Ramses II. We will continue our visits today discovering Sakkara Necropolis and its step pyramid, the first great Egyptian pyramid. There we will also visit Imhotep Museum, the tombs of Ti, Kagemni, and that of Ptahhotep. We will have dinner at a local restaurant and transfer to the hotel. - Overnight in Cairo.
Day 3: Cairo - (Full Board)
After breakfast, Departure for an excursion through Cairo to see the most fascinating sites of the city. The Citadel of Saladin with its Alabaster Mosque built by Mohammed Ali, Khan el Khalili Market, the Egyptian Museum, and the Coptic Quarter, all accompanied by a guide and included lunch in a local restaurant. Dinner at a local restaurant and return to the hotel. – Overnight in Cairo.
Day 4: Cairo/ Luxor - (Full Board)
After breakfast, and at the indicated time our representative will pick you up to transfer you to the airport to get a flight to Luxor. Reception by our staff and transfer to the Nile cruise. Boarding, Lunch on board. In the afternoon we will visit the Karnak Temples, it is the largest in the world that exhibits monuments dating from the Middle Kingdom (21st century BC), till the time of the Romans (7th century AD). Next visit will be Temple of Luxor, built by Amenhotep III and enlarged by Ramses II. It is the only Temple that has monuments from the Pharaonic, Greco-Roman, Coptic and Muslim eras. Return to the Nile cruise to have dinner on board. – Overnight On Board.
Day 5: Luxor - Esna - Edfu - (Full Board)
After breakfast, at the scheduled time we are going to visit the west bank. We will begin the day by visiting the Necropolis of Thebes, including the Valley of the Kings where the tombs of the most important pharaohs of the new empire are hidden (entrance to three tombs), the Temple of Queen Hatchepsut, known as Deir El Bahari temple. Then we will make a stop to contemplate the gigantic and magnificent Colossi of Memnon. Return to the Nile cruise to have lunch on board, Sail to Esna, dinner on board and then continue towards Edfu. - Overnight On Board.
Day 6: Edfu - Kom Ombo - Aswan - (Full Board)
After breakfast, in the morning we are going to visit the temple of Edfu, dedicated to the God Horus. It is the best-preserved temple in Egypt and the most important after Karnak. It measures 137 meters in length by 79 in width and 36 in height and represents the typical construction of temples with the pylon, the patio, two hypostyle rooms, an offering chamber, the central room, and the sanctuary. One of its most curious characteristics is the lighting of the temple, with smaller and smaller rooms that gradually impeded the passage of light until reaching the dark sanctuary, which receives illumination only from the axis. We will continue sailing towards Kom Ombo. Upon our arrival, we will visit the Temple dedicated to the Gods Sobek and Horus. In this temple, the relief of the medicinal instruments stands out above all. Over the years, the people of this town did not like to be associated with a god that represents Evil (Sobek), so they added another God Horus, as their brother and partner in the worship of the temple. Legend has it that Sobek, the evil Brother, plotted against his Brother Horus and the population when he saw his beloved God leave the town; he also left the town completely deserted. Navigation to Aswan. Dinner on board. - Overnight in Cairo.
Day 7: Aswan - (Full Board)
After breakfast, and at the agreed time departure to visit the Abu Simbel Temples by coach. The temples are considered the most beautiful of all buildings during the reign of Ramses II and one of the most beautiful in Egypt. Its façade is 33 meters high and 38 meters wide and is guarded by four colossal seated statues, each of which is about 20 meters high, sculpted directly on the rock. All the statues represent Ramses II, seated on a throne with the double crown of Upper and Lower Egypt. Lunch on board. In the afternoon departure to visit the Temple of Philae, one of the four temples and places where the events of the Legend of the triad of Isis, Osiris, and Horus, the Sons of the God Ra take place. From the air and the Moisture Shuo and Tefnut, two divinities were born those were Geb, the God of the earth, and Nut, the Goddess of the sky. These two begat four children: Osiris, Isis, Seth, and Nephthys. Osiris and his sisters Isis and Nephthys represented good, while Seth represented evil. Osiris, being the eldest and favorite son of the Gods, reigned on earth, teaching humans, agriculture, writing, and civilization. While his Brother of his Seth revolted with envy. Seth plotted to assassinate his brother and rule over Egypt. In the end, we will take a walk in Falucca along the Nile (typical Egyptian sailboat) during which we will be able to admire a panoramic view of the Agha Jan Mausoleum, the Botanical Garden, and the Elephantine Island, located at the beginning of the Nile River, to the south, next to Aswan city. It is an island that is located next to the first waterfall, which with more than a kilometer long by almost a kilometer wide, offers an enchanting landscape. Return to the Nile cruise to have dinner. - Overnight On Board.
Day 8: Aswan – Cairo – Madrid
After breakfast, at the indicated time our representative will pick you up for the transfer to Aswan airport to take the flight to Spain (via Cairo).
